​History and Mission

​​​For generations, Silvery Lane Baptist Church has been a familiar site at the corner of Hass and Silvery Lane. Established in 1939, ground was broken for the site's original cement block building in 1940. In the summer of 1962 work began to replace the original building with the current structure. The new brick building was dedicated on April 7, 1963--One day before Dearborn Township became Dearborn Heights. 

Silvery Lane Baptist Church is a friendly, neighborhood church in the heart of Dearborn Heights. As a church, our desire is not only to reach out to the surrounding communities with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but to reach the world through a strong mission program, at home and abroad. Our ministry includes all ages and groups: including classes from nursery age, elementary children, teens, singles, couples and seniors.
Silvery Lane Baptist Church is a committed church focusing on preaching and teaching Biblical truths and building strong Christian families. We want our church to be a place where you feel welcome and "at home."
