What We Believe

The Word of God

We believe in the revelation, inspiration, and preservation of the Scriptures. God revealed His Word unto men (Hebrews 1:1-2), He inspired the Word as it proceeded from His mouth (2 Timothy 3:16 & John 6:63), and He preserved that Word down through the ages and will continue to preserve it for all eternity (Psalm 12:7; Psalm119:89 & Matthew 24:35).
We believe that God preserved His Word in the English language through the King James Bible.
We hold to the King James Bible as our final authority on all matters of faith.

The Trinity

We believe that there is one God manifested in three distinct persons. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. They are co-equal and co-eternal. They each have 3 distinct roles that they fulfill in perfect harmony and are each clearly identified as fully God (1 John 5:7 & Matthew 28:19).

The Deity of Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God. We believe that He was born of the virgin Mary (Isaiah 7:14 & Matthew 1:20-21), that He lived a sinless and perfect life (Hebrews 4:15; 7:26 & 1 John 3:5), and that He willingly gave His life on the cross to pay for the sins of the world (John 10:17-18).
We believe that He was buried in a borrowed tomb and that three days later He bodily arose from the dead and ascended up into Heaven (Acts 1:9). He now ever lives in Heaven making intercession for the saints (Romans 8:34), and He is the Head of His body, the church (Colossians 1:18).
We believe that Jesus is 100% God and that He is also 100% man; He is the second person of the Godhead and one day He will return to the earth to rapture away those who have been born again (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 & 1 Corinthians 15:52).

The Local Church

We believe that the local church is an assembly of born again scripturally baptized believers, met together under the authority of the New Testament to carry out the great commission of Matthew 28:19-20. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ established the local church and expects the saints to attend, support, fellowship and worship in a New Testament local church till He returns in the air at the rapture (Matthew 16:16-18, Acts 2:41-47 & Hebrews 10:25). The local church is autonomous. We do not need a committee, a board, or any other organization to govern over the church.

The Body of Christ

We believe that at salvation, a person is baptized with the Spirit, becoming a part of the body of Christ, which universally unites all believers in this present church age (Mark 1:8, 1 Corinthians 12:13, Galatians 3:28 & Ephesians 4:4). Jesus Christ is the head of this body (Ephesians 5:23 & Colossians 1:18).

Baptism

We believe that baptism doesn’t bring about salvation or wash away any sin. Instead, it is a sign that one has already been saved and is not ashamed to publicly show their faith. We believe in baptism the same way Jesus Christ was baptized—by immersion (Matthew 3:16).
We believe that baptism is only for born again believers (Acts 2:38-41 & Acts 8:36-38).

Salvation

We believe that salvation is only received by grace though faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9). He is the only way of salvation (John 14:6).
We believe that through salvation we are born again into the family of God and there is nothing that we can do to lose that salvation (John 10:28-29).
We believe in eternal security and stand against 5-point Calvinism and the loss of salvation for certain sins. In salvation, by God’s grace, He takes away our sins forever and gives us His righteousness (Romans 4:22-24).

The Second Coming of Jesus Christ

We believe in the imminent return of Christ in the air for the saints in the pre-tribulation rapture. At this time the dead in Christ will rise first and the living believers will be caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).
We believe in the Premillennial return of Christ with the saints for a 1000 year reign (Revelation 20:4).

Heaven and Hell

We believe that heaven and hell are literal places and that every person will go to one of these two places when they die.
We believe that this transition is immediate and we stand against doctrines such as soul sleep and purgatory.
We believe that those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Saviour will spend eternity with God in heaven (Luke 23:43 & 1 Corinthians 5:8). Those who reject Jesus Christ will spend eternity in hell which is a place of torments (Luke 16:23), fire (Matthew 18:8-9), darkness, weeping and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 22:13). Your place in each of these destinations is eternal.
