Children's Ministries

One of the most asked question by parents when looking for a church is:  "What do you have for children?"  Like many churches, we do offer fun, songs, games, snacks, and prizes, But we are also deeply concerned with offering children a chance to learn about God and His Word.  We have a great group of Sunday School teachers who are dedicated to their ministry and to the children they teach.

Sunday School Classes

Toddlers-Kindergarden Sunday School Class ​

Taught by Mrs. Amanda Meyer. The Toddler class plays a vital role in laying a strong, Biblical foundation in a small child's life. Mrs. Meyer's passion and excitement for the Lord and children is clearly seen as she teaches Biblical truths in a fun and interactive way. 

1st - 3rd Grade Sunday School Class

Taught by Mrs. Sarah Baez. Her love for children and years of teaching experience is a blessing to each of the students in her class. She also assists in running the children's program on Wednesday nights and helps organize events for the children.

4th - 6th grade Sunday School Class

Taught by Mrs. Deanna Greenshields. Deanna is a seasoned teacher with a burden to impart her knowledge of the Word of God to this group of students. She also teaches in the children’s program on Wednesday night during the adult Bible Study and Prayer Meeting.

Teen Sunday School Class

Taught by Mr. David Navalta. David grew up at Silvery Lane Baptist Church. After graduating from Bible College, God led him back to work with the teens. He is excited to carry on the vision of other youth leaders, winning teens to Christ and challenging them to live for the Lord.

Wednesday Kids Club

Our Kids Club is a recent addition to Silvery Lane’s ministries and is a fun and engaging time for children aged 5 to 12. Held every Wednesday night at 7 pm, it’s led by the assistant pastor, Joseph Baez, and supported by a team of enthusiastic teachers. The Kids Club begins with a short game, the children are then directed to their classes for a lesson from the Bible. This is followed by a time of Bible verse memorization and finally one last game to close out the night. The children are encouraged to bring their Bibles to church each week, which, among other things, earns them points. These points can be used every other week to get prizes, toys, and candy from our prize room.
